I’m thinking he must have some sort of alien technology that makes his socks invisible.

I hate when people point and giggle when I run to the store in winter in my socks and sandals. What, like you’ve never seen anybody in socks and sandals before?
@hchavers@Star2236 Well as a matter of fact I have worn socks and sandals all winter so far. Several years ago I posted to here a photo of me in socks and sandals standing in the new fallen snow (I was visiting family in the snow belt).
Mismatched works for me. It’s interesting to see who notices or rather who notices and comments. It creates new conversation where otherwise there might be none.

Yep. I went outside and just hung six pairs of my socks. I can randomly put them on the line and easily pair them up when I take them down. If one gets a hole I just threw it away. Don’t have to look for the mate or have one ‘orphaned’ in a bucket. Of course, I don’t wear socks much around here, even in the winter. Unless I’m going to be gone from the house I’m generally barefoot in a pair of slippers, barefoot in knockoff crocs if I’m outside.

Thanks but I’m looking for the ‘tennis’ ankle high not the crew mid calf type. They’re higher than the ‘No show’ type but not much, maybe an inch or so. Thanks for the information just the same.
@werehatrack I am old, not a man, and I own socks but I honestly don’t remember the last time I put a pair on. I know it’s been over a year. I have taller than usual clogs that I wear when it’s raining. Otherwise I am in sandals or pretty well flat slides

Knee high cotton! Hard to find now a days. Miss the Champion brand ankle socks used to get them at Target.

Socks have no reason to exist unless you have to wear heavy work boots and then they’re basically padding

Edema. Some of us are old. (And these specific socks aren’t much use for that.)
Also, men’s dress shoes tend to chafe and cause blisters without socks.

Not recommended in many places due to superheated pavement, abrasive surfaces, sharp debris possibly including goatheads, etc.

All my socks have arch support and labeled L and R. And stupid expensive for socks.
Blue Q are my favorite. They’re okay have dad joke socks, punny socks and socks with expletives. It’s as if I created a sock company!
